- Improved Structural Ductility: The updated system features a structural displacement ductility of µdes = 1.25, making it better equipped to handle elastic design challenges.
- Cleat Plate Thickness Adjustment: The improved system accommodates cleat plate thicknesses of 28–32mm, with a standard 30mm thickness for seamless backward compatibility.
- Unified Prong Widths: The gap clearance for prongs is now a uniform 34mm across both the Banana and End components, streamlining installation and component interchangeability.
- Revised Elastic Modulus Calculation: The advanced system benefits from an updated equivalent elastic modulus across the entire ReidBrace™ range, ensuring greater consistency in performance across various applications.
Compatibility at the Core
We’ve designed the 32mm ReidBrace V2 System to maintain compatibility wherever possible:
- Backward Compatibility: While the new RBRACE32-V2SET components can replace those from the older RBRACE32-SET, it’s important to consider cleat plate thickness during transitions.
- Data-Specific Usage: Performance data for the V2 system is unique and should not be applied to its predecessor.
